Postgraduate Requirements

Kismayo University's admission criteria are designed to identify and support individuals who are passionate about learning, growth, and making a positive impact. Entrance requirements are set out by the University Senate from time to time, in accordance with the Ministry of Education.

To be admitted to a postgraduate programme, an applicant must meet all of the following:

The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

The applicant’s cumulative grade point average (CGPA) must not be lower than Very Good.

Applicants with a CGPA of Good or below are required to complete a six (6)-month Bridging Program before commencing their studies.

The applicant must be medically fit to undertake the program of study.

The applicant must not have any legal, disciplinary, or academic issues that would prevent admission to the University.

The applicant must submit all required application documents and fulfill the admission requirements.

The applicant must pay the non-refundable registration fee of US$100.

The applicant must successfully pass the oral interview conducted by the University.

Each academic program may have additional admission requirements specific to its field of study.
