Undergraduate Requirements
Kismayo University's admission criteria are designed to identify and support individuals who are passionate about learning, growth, and making a positive impact. Entrance requirements are set out by the University Senate from time to time, in accordance with the Ministry of Education.
To be admitted to an undergraduate programme, a candidate must satisfy at least one of the following:
A holder of a secondary (or equivalent) certificate with a minimum aggregate of C+ and a minimum of C in both Mathematics and English, where applicable
A holder of an A-level certificate from a recognized examining body with a minimum of two principal passes and one subsidiary
A holder of a Diploma/Higher National Diploma or equivalent with at least a pass in a relevant discipline
A holder of a Diploma from Teachers Training Colleges or equivalent
A holder of any other qualification accepted by the Senate of the University as equivalent or superior to any of the above
Advanced Standing & Credit Transfer
Candidates with post-secondary qualifications may be granted exemptions from certain courses, and students transferring from other recognized institutions may have their credits recognized.
